| Boscawen House |
Boscawen House provides comfortable hostel style accommodation within a short 10-15 minute walk of the Sailing Academy. Overlooking Portland Harbour and Chesil Beach, with outstanding views across the Jurassic Coast, the house can sleep up to 47 people, on a self-catering or fully catered basis. Attached to the main house, is a completely self-contained annexe comprising; Entrance Lobby, Lounge/Diner, Kitchenette, Bathroom and Bedroom (double or twin).
Unfortunately as Boscawen House is a listed building, it cannot be converted for wheelchair access. However, many of our customers have stayed at the Portland Lodge with excellent reports. |

Boscawen House is available on a sole or part occupancy basis for groups. The welfare and safety of all guests is our prime concern.
- We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and security of your group and their property.
- We will ensure that all visitors are aware of the Fire Procedure.
- We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the house is locked and secure at night.
- We will ensure that our staff wear ID badges, so that they are clearly identifiable to members of your group.
- We will allocate dedicated bedrooms to your group; you will not be expected to share with any other guests.
- We will allocate separate rooms for group leaders, when a group comprises of under 18 year olds.
- We will provide any risk assessment information required by your school, college, authority or association on request.
- All staff are Police background checked.
- Water Sports and Multi Activity Holidays available as a package with itinerary to suit individual requirements
- Close to the many visitor attractions of Weymouth and Portland. Within a short bus ride of an abundance of educational visits available in South Dorset. List and prices available on request
- We will be happy to help and advise on local amenities and available attractions.

| Alternative Accommodation |
It is possible to park your campervan/ caravan at the Sailing Academy, however tents are not allowed on site. Access to the Clubhouse showers and changing rooms are provided during normal opening hours. Whilst no electricity is provided, you are welcome to bring your own generator. Booking form

| Payment Schedule- Individual or Family Bookings |
- More than six months prior to arrival date, a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the stay is due, together with a completed booking form.
- Two months prior to arrival date, the full payment is due (less any deposit paid).
- If you wish to add to your party at any time, please telephone the office to ensure they can be accommodated.
- Mixed sex groups should ensure that they have leaders of both sexes.
- Cheques should be made payable to Boscawen House.
- Booking Forms should be sent to Boscawen House (Administration), Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy, Osprey Quay, Portland, DT5 1SA.

| Payment Schedule - Group Bookings |
1. More than six months prior to arrival date, a booking may secured on payment of a holding deposit of £1 per person, together with a letter confirming the booking.
2. Six months prior to arrival date, a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the stay is due (less any holding deposit paid), together with a completed group booking form.
3. Two months prior to arrival date, the full payment is due (less any deposit paid) together with a completed Group Booking Form if one has not already been forwarded.

Walking/ cycling
Boscawen House is a 10-15 minute walk along the water front from the Sailing Academy. Just follow the footpath until you reach Portland Castle. Leave Portland Castle on your left hand side and you will reach a T-junction. Turn right (up a gentle hill), past the entrance to Portland Hospital and the YHA. Boscawen House is the second red brick Victorian house on the left hand side (the first is the YHA). The entrance to the house is a semi-concealed entrance almost immediately before you join the main road onto Portland
Driving
Boscawen House is a five minute drive from the Sailing Academy. To get there, go past the Sailing Academy turning off the main Wemouth- Portland road/ causeway (A354). Continue along the road until you reach Victoria Square on Portland. Take the second exit off Victoria Square and you will be on the main road on to Portland. Take the first left off this road (approx 200yds up the hill, and just before the road hairpins round to the right) and then turn immediately right into the car park at Boscawen House. Boscawen House is the middle of three red brick Victorian houses.

| Booking Conditions |
1. A booking cannot be confirmed by Boscawen House until the relevant deposit has been received accompanied by written confirmation of the booking. Six months prior to arrival this must be followed by a signed booking form and 25% of the total cost less any holding deposit (if applicable). The balance of the total fee must be paid two months before arrival date at the latest.
2. Cancellation of booking cannot be accepted unless it is received in writing and it is effective on the day that it is received. Cancellation will incur the following charges.
More than 8 weeks before arrival date - loss of deposit
Less than 8 weeks before arrival date - 80% of total cost
Less and 4 weeks before arrival date - 100% of total cost
3. Boscawen House accepts no responsibility for death, personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects to any guest.
4. Leaders accompanying a group must agree to be responsible for the discipline and behaviour of their party. The leaders/responsible adults are liable for all damage caused by their action or action of their party.
5. Young people aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged over 21.
6. Boscawen House operates a NON SMOKING Policy.
