Portland Port Harbour Dues
Harbour dues are payable by all vessels (including canoes, windsurfers and kite-surfers) using Portland Harbour, other than vessels in support of events which are exempt in recognition of their contribution to safety.

Harbour dues can be paid directly to the Harbour Authority or its agents locally either daily and weekly with a receipt, or annually with a sticker.

WPNSA act as an agent for Portland Port, and thus dues can be paid at the WPNSA reception.

Portland Port Harbour Dues - what are they?

Portland Harbour Authority Limited has been the Statutory Harbour Authority for Portland Harbour since 1998, and thus has the power to levy dues.

The dues raised go some way to provide a safe harbour; to contribute towards the enormous cost of maintaining the extensive breakwaters without which a safe harbour would not exist; to ensure that all recreational users are aware of the regulations and adhere to them so that diverse activities can co-exist; and to contribute towards the cost of conservancy, (the maintenance of the navigational lights), for the safety of all users.
