Welcome to SailLaser Weymouth, England’s premier sailing facility operated by the world’s leading small sailboat manufacturer, LaserPerformance. We are based at the 2012 Olympic sailing venue, so you could not find a better location to enter, enjoy, or excel, at the sport of sailing.

Here at SailLaser we try to offer something for everyone, whether you’re after a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) beginner course or some Laser specific race training we have a course to suit you.  If you can’t find something you like then you can tailor make your own course with our private tuitions.  If you are already a sailor and interested in having a sail in one of our world class dinghy’s at this fantastic venue then take a look at our hire and JustSail schemes.

A core aim here at SailLaser is to get as many people from the local community out on the water as possible.  We do this in a variety of different ways; the success on our OnBoard and Race clubs mean that we now have up-to sixty children out on the water on a weekly basis.  Our school group bookings are also very popular both locally and nationally.  Schools can come for a short taster session or work through the RYA stages, either in one block or over several weeks.  Take a look at the school groups section of our website to see how we manage to get over 1000 children out on the water paying as little as £5 each in just two weeks!!!

With LaserPerformance being our parent company we look after boat sales for the South West region. From retail boat and spares sales to corporate and fleet deals we offer the whole LaserPerformance range with both new and used options available.  Demonstrations can be setup throughout the year to try our boats but as well as this we’re on the road attending open days and events across the region to support existing customers, clubs and centres.

SailLaser at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy

It’s no coincidence that SailLaser chose the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy as the home of our first Centre. Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour are widely recognised as the finest sailing waters in the UK. This, together with the development of the new purpose built, on-shore facilities, has resulted in this site being selected as the 2012 Olympic sailing venue.

The Weymouth location offers a superb venue for events and training, and our SailLaser facility there provides courses and access to boats for people of all abilities, from complete beginners to Olympic medallists. The grounds include a licensed clubhouse, conference/ meeting rooms, slipways, a boat hoist, extensive dinghy and car parks, a permanent crane, and storage for all types of boats. Comfortable hostel style accommodation is available within a short 10-15 minute walk of the Sailing Academy.

Whether you wish to compete in a major championship event, try sailing for the first time, or simply enjoy sailing for the fantastic and fun sport that it is, we think you will find our services hard to beat.
